Wall Switch No Control The Light Is Still On

At this point i did not remove the switch so i m.

Wall switch no control the light is still on.

It does not control any wall plug outlet nor any wires in the ceiling box. So now i am stuck. The light came on when i turned the breaker back on but the switch at the wall did not turn the lamp off. In some houses light switches on the wall might control individual outlets where you can plug in lamps and other lights.

They re really convenient but if you ever need to replace that outlet there are some important things you ll need to keep in mind. If the wall is heavily insulated push conduit through the insulation and then feed wires or cable through the conduit. 1 black wire is always at 120 v and the other two always at 0 v. The dimmer did not work as well. Try this turn your lamp on and go the wall switch and flip up and down if the light doesn t shut off you ve wired the switch incorrectly to the wall socket.
